Boy, have I missed everyone and being able to do any photowork what so ever. I never realized how lost I would be without my computer. I still don't have mine back because of numerous failed attemps. I was finally given this "Loner" which is another name for "Can't sell it because it keeps screwing up". Sorry to whine but I'm at the end of my rope. I had to dig for this image but wanted to at least feel like I'm back in the game. I hope everyone had a nice holiday and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this thing stays running long enough to make the rounds and say hi.
very nice photo :) I like the colors and some melancholy in this pic :)

GARY!!! Outstanding image, my friend!! Very soft and romantic. Really missed you too. Oh, I do feel your pain. And to lose your images is heartbreaking. At least my stuff is still well intact on the hard drive... just that the hard drive is still attached to the hooped motherboard... Keep trying with the loner because if this is you digging... you've been holding out on us!! LOL

Gary this is beautiful! It looks like a work of art. Would love to know technique(s) you used to make this "feel" so rich and alive. Hope your computer issues are resolved soon - I can totally empathize with you there. I bet your step daughter will miss Oki greatly!

It's lovely to see you back Gary, hope the loner keeps going till you get sorted out. This is a wonderful come back image, the soft dreamy feel works brilliantly with the tulips.

Hey Gary - SO GOOD to have you back and what an awesome image to mark your return - I really liek the hazy effect of this image - makes it look quite ethereal! :) Awesome stuff! :)

I don't know what's what with your computer, but we just got my son a new machine with 1GB of RAM and a DVD writer for $250 (with $100 mail-in rebate). And so I wouldn't have to open it up and install his old hard drive --thus voiding the warranty-- I spent another $25 on a universal drive reader that allows you to connect just about any hard drive externally through a USB port (the device has it's own power supply for the drive).

@Twelvebit: Thanks for all the info. It's a chip on the motherboard that had to be sent to a facility that could repair it. It's a pricy laptop with sentimental value so I wanted it fixed instead of replaced. Long story but I'm stuck in the thick of it now so I have to see it through. Live and learn.
Glad u r back, Gary! Great pp on this! =-)
