Marion from Nanaimo, BC, CanadaThis is really an interesting shot ... in a good way too. ;D. I really like the texture of the wood and the metal. Very good Gary. 9 Feb 2008 6:22am Ina from Krugersdorp, South AfricaWow! This is lovely! Great textures and colors and your composition is spoton! Well done Gary! Glad to see you are stil 'with us'! :) 9 Feb 2008 7:27am Japanalia from Yokohama, JapanBeautiful texture and patterns here!Nicely presented! 9 Feb 2008 11:06am yiannis krikis from thessaloniki, GreeceI like the composition and the textures. I think that it will be better if you make it a little brighter. 9 Feb 2008 12:50pm @yiannis krikis: Thanks for letting me know that. I have been having computer issues again. I didn't even post yesterday because every time I move an image it changes. Density, color and contrast are so different I didn't know what it was ending up like in Am3. I will take it out and repost it. I will have to guess on the percentage to lighten since what I'm seeing is not accurate. I really appreciate your imput. Graham Russon from Cape Town, South AfricaNice shot, composition, colours and textures are perfect 9 Feb 2008 1:44pm Lorraine from Gatineau, CanadaWood and Lock, you can't beat the combo, love this... 9 Feb 2008 2:34pm amy from Rocky Mountain House, CanadaYeah, I agree with yiannis... it does need to be a little darker to bring out more the texture in the wood. However, over and beyond that it is a stellar image for composition, framing, and mood. Love the lines of the 2x4's going vertical and horizontal. 9 Feb 2008 5:36pm @amy: Thanks Amy. I'm trying to fix it and repost it but it still keeps changing on me. Even if I just repost the same settings. I think I'm going to just wait till I get my computer back from the shop. I'll post to be sociable but I can't be held responsible.:-) Have a great weekend. By the way, it's going to be 80 degrees F Michael from Wuppertal, GermanyGreat shot, well spotted! have to agree with Yiannis. I would add a lttile brightness and some contrast. 9 Feb 2008 7:23pm @Michael: Thanks Michael for your help also but I think this machine has a mind of it's own. I'm at it's mercy till I get mine back. I appreciate the comments. standley from brou-sur-chantereine, FranceVery nice composition. I love the texture 9 Feb 2008 8:31pm Scott Collins from Ontario, California, United StatesNice mixture of wood and iron, the two textures together really make an interesting photo. 10 Feb 2008 1:19pm Scotfot from Edinburgh, United KingdomExcellent image, very good composition and colours! 10 Feb 2008 7:26pm Kelly from Ontario, United StatesComposition, texture and tone in this is very nice. 11 Feb 2008 2:32pm drphoto from Newcastle upon Tyne, United KingdomAnother grat detail shot. I like capturing textures like this to use in creating borders, I never thought to make them photographic subjects in their own right. 13 Feb 2008 12:53pm |
