WatchdogPosted by Stinkbug Photography (Cochise County, United States) on 10 February 2008 in Animal & Insect and Portfolio. My ever vigilant, trusty watchdog protecting our property. To bypass this alarm system, throw a baseball.

Marion from Nanaimo, BC, CanadaThat's funny. But if you don't have a baseball, then what do you do? This made me think of that song that goes something like this "poor old hound dog looking so forlorn, he's sitting there crying 'cause he doesn't have a bone". That is a very loose rendition --- seriously though, I love this shot and the fact that it is in black and white just adds to the mood. 10 Feb 2008 7:00am @Marion: Thanks Marion, My first ever Karaoke comment. Well done. And actually you can throw anything. Even a rock. He will think it's a baseball. martie from Okinawa, JapanGreat photo! I love the roots coming out of the hill(?). At least you sometimes have an alarm system. I really like this B&W shot. 10 Feb 2008 7:38am @martie: Thank you Martie. Some of the property is in a wash and it's eroding under some mesquite trees. The roots are pretty cool in some places. @yiannis krikis: Thanks yiannis. I always appreciate the comments. Ina from Krugersdorp, South AfricaSo sweet! Is this a Weimaraner Gary? 10 Feb 2008 8:58am @Ina: Thank you Ina. He's mostly chocolate lab with a little retriever mixed in from a one night stand. Richard_Irwin from Belper, United KingdomHa ha, he looks like a fun and loyal friend. 10 Feb 2008 9:59am @Richard_Irwin: Yes he certainly is. Hope your feeling better.
