Hello again. I sure have missed this. I am so looking forward to seeing what everyone has been doing. Unfortunately for the next 3 months my visits and postings will be very limited. I have 4 main passions in my life. My wife, photography, nature, and fighting wildfires. I am fotunate enough to enjoy 3 of those year round. Fighting wildfires is seasonal but pretty much takes up all my time and keeps me away from home for the most part. The pictures I do post when I am able to get home will most likely be from fire assignments which I hope will be somewhat interesting. I have to shoot mainly with throwaway cameras so it won't always be the best quality. I will catch up as much as possible and believe me I will miss it when I can't. Am3 and everyone I have had the pleasure of meeting has been a real joy to me.
This is a great shot, full of atmosphere and nostalgia. Good luck fighting the wildfires!

The column of firefighters presents a line leading into the photo and the smoke brings the feeling of mystery. Well done and good luck in all your passions.

Gary, so nice to have you back even though it is just for a little while. This is an awesome picture showing us some of the heros right here at home. Even though your cameras may be the throw away kind your eye for composition is great so all of the pictures will be wonderful and will take us places where the average person cannot go and I thank you for that. I think your priorities are just perfect, pretty much sums up mine, except of course my husband, my family, my photography and, and, and. Thanks for your visit, I always love it when you drop by.

Back . . and gone again! Telling you to stay safe while fighting wildfires is a little off-target but I want to say it anyways! Hope things are not so bad out there this year.

Great pic Gary - i love the way the line of firefighters leads off to the right of the frame in the distance. Welcome back and travel safely as you keep the towns and countryside safe fighting wildfires. I so enjoyed your last fire shots and eagerly await your upcoming shots out on the "firelines". It's great to know there are people like you out there taking care of us by fighting the fires! :)
